Wainwright, AK — The U.S. Department of Defense is conducting winter trainings throughout March 2022 in the North Slope region. Wainwright residents should be aware that these exercises have been planned for months and will include pre-authorized usage of the DEW Line site outside of the village. There may be some noise and activity, including limited helicopter use, while exercises are underway.
