Olgoonik T.A.G. (Teammates Applauding Good-work) Award
What is it?
The Olgoonik T.A.G. Award is a means for the company to promote productivity and provide an immediate and visible recognition of employee contributions.
T.A.G. Awards are used to recognize employee contributions for exceptional performance, safe workplace behavior, or simply saying “Thank You” for a job well done. T.A.G. Awards should be presented to the employee within 24 to 48 hours of the achievement or action. We want to “TAG” employees that we catch doing good work.
Who is eligible?
All full-time, part-time, and temporary employees up to and including directors are eligible to receive T.A.G. Awards. Independent contractors and temporary employees contracted through a staffing agency may be presented with a TAG but will not be included in the drawing.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
NEW! You can now complete your T.A.G. awards digitally from your computer or smartphone.
All Olgoonik employees have the authority to T.A.G. each other. Remember, it does need to be a valid reason and the T.A.G. should be filled out completely. To T.A.G. another employee simply request a T.A.G. ribbon from your manager or HR representative OR complete the digital T.A.G. form. The digital form is automatically submitted to Olgoonik Benefits and the employee is notified that they have been “tagged.” With the printed T.A.G. award, the employee retains the “ribbon” portion of the award and the removable “stub” portion should be immediately submitted to Olgoonik Benefits (if you are in Anchorage, drop it off with a member of the benefits team. If not, send us a scanned copy by email.) Every other week Olgoonik Benefits will draw winners from the submissions, awarding two T.A.G. earners with $50 e-gift cards. The e-gift cards will be emailed to the employee following the drawing. Please note, all monetary awards are considered taxable income and will be reflected on the employee’s income earning statement.
Employee of the Quarter
What is it?
The Olgoonik Employee of the Quarter Program is designed to recognize one outstanding employee per quarter who consistently goes above and beyond in support of Olgoonik’s success. Of the four quarterly winners, one will be selected as the Employee of the Year. Any Olgoonik employee may submit nominations.
After the close of the quarter, all nominations will be evaluated by the executive selection committee, and a winner will be selected. Winners will be announced company-wide after each quarterly selection. All winners will receive an award plaque, a gift certificate of their choice, and recognition in the employee newsletter and on the Olgoonik website.
Please be as detailed as possible and provide specific examples to support your nomination.
Who is eligible?
Human Resources will determine the eligibility of a nominee based on the following criteria:
- The nominee must be a full-time employee that has worked for at least one year at the time of nomination.
- The nominee must have no documented performance issues in the previous 12 months of nomination.
- Employees can only receive the Employee of the Quarter Award once per calendar year.
- Employees can only receive the Employee of the Year Award once during their employment with Olgoonik.
- Executives are not eligible to receive Employee of the Quarter or Employee of the Year.
